00:00:00 '
00:15:33 - 12:48pm - Squirfuffles for quite a while including a lot of squeaking, grabbing and hitting. They do manage to share occasionally: https://bit.ly/39VWa3J
00:24:59 - 12:57:22pm - Squirfuffle and tussle on platform with one squirrel slipping to the edge: https://bit.ly/2Qjzgvs
05:11:23 '
00:00:00 '
02:06:41 - 8:51:55 am - Crow makes clockwork noises while on the railing. You can see it making the noise (bowing its head and lifting its wings), though the audio is desynchronized from the video by a few seconds: https://bit.ly/2w9sO2Q - Eventually there are four crows, a couple of seagulls, and a squirrel.
05:42:24 '
00:00:00 '

00:41:35 - 10:47:37 am - Squirrel lets out an obvious frustrated squeak when the platform goes down and blocks the food: https://bit.ly/2V5Kx5z

02:19:10 '
00:00:00 '
02:27:06 - 9:27am - Juvenile seagull is thwarted by the platform multiple times. (I had re-adjusted the platform the day before.) Does manage to get a kibble or two simply by being fast enough to knock one out of the hole before the holes close. But the amount of work required to get those kibbles is very high: https://bit.ly/37CoPZG
02:34:47 - 9:35 am - Squirrel interrupts seagull's attempts. Seagull watches: https://bit.ly/2V6pxeY
02:42:33 - 9:43 am - Seagull returns to making attempts after squirrel leaves: https://bit.ly/38DnV0l
02:45:18 - 9:45:29 am - Interesting observation: Seagull is able to get some kibble to come out of the feeder just by landing on the platform hard enough that it shakes some food out. To do: consider possible ways to address this design flaw: https://bit.ly/2HEdnlM
03:09:00 - 10:09 am - Seagull finally leaves, crow immediately shows up: https://bit.ly/38L8DXA
03:11:23 - 10:11 am - Crow. Spends a lot of time rearranging the food in his mouth (TIL that crows do not have a crop like other birds, they store extra food in a pouch in their lower jaw). A second crow comes shortly thereafter: https://bit.ly/2SG3slS
05:31:03 '
00:00:00 '
00:41:20 - 1:14 pm - Crow: https://bit.ly/39GbgtI
00:42:26 - 1:16 pm (13 on screen - I gotta change that) - Juvenile seagull makes many attempts at feeder. Mostly, the gull is thwarted by the platform, but seems to manage to get a kernel or two by landing gingerly and flapping a lot to keep its weight off the platform: https://bit.ly/329U4tR
00:46:55 - 1:20 pm - Crow scolds seagull from off screen, and also makes some clockwork noises. Seagull manages to scoop a few kernels onto the ground and the crow tries to swoop down and grab some of them: https://bit.ly/3bRgLaG
Around 4pm ish I adjust the camera timestamp format and the platform weight, hoping to help the seagull problem.
05:18:56 '
00:00:00 '
00:59:26 - 8:24 am - Seagull thwarted by platform. Crows come and pick up the leavings off the deck: https://bit.ly/2SpXmVB
01:02:22 - 8:27 am - Crow lands on railing and clearly avoids the seagull poop on the railing (left behind by the visitor above), then feeds: https://bit.ly/2UA7dLj
01:04:07 - 8:29 am - More crow: https://bit.ly/2Smckfb
01:07:13 - 8:32 am - Seagull thwarted again: https://bit.ly/2SnHzX7
01:07:51 - 8:33 am - Crow gets some food despite the seagull trying to keep it away: https://bit.ly/2SsTrHI
01:21:53 - 8:47 am - More crow: https://bit.ly/3beusA9
01:40:42 - 9:05 am - More crow: https://bit.ly/2UtvBhy
01:45:41 - 9:10 am - Crow stuffs its beak: https://bit.ly/2Ut3Nty
02:20:45 - 9:45 am - Raccoon during the day. Looks curiously at feeder and clearly tries to work out how to get the food, but is unsuccessful and eventually can be seen leaving through the yard: https://bit.ly/36ZPAqM
02:36:41 '
00:00:00 '
03:56:07 - 11:26 am - Seagull gets some food - I need to re-adjust the counterweight or come up with a new solution again: https://bit.ly/2tOQIA5

2019-05-28 11pm - Raccoon tries to get into our crow feeder by climbing the wall where the camera is mounted, but cannot successfully climb across to the feeder itself. At one point, it triggers the counterweight, which helps to thwart it.
Raccoon did not return the following night, which hopefully means that it thinks it's too much trouble to try again.
Crows scold a raccoon from off-camera. On-camera, the raccoon can be seen curling up for a nap beneath the table. We were home at the time and were able to see the raccoon. It has a hurt left front paw and was dragging the paw.
